HALLOWEEN TREATS CAN BE NONEDIBLE
Posted on Oct 23, 2015

The Teal Pumpkin Project is a nation-wide effort sponsored by Food Allergy Research and Education to provide non-food treats for kids with food allergies on Halloween. It's easy and makes this food-centered holiday safe and fun for those who worry about food allergies every day of their lives. Several homes participated last year in the initiative, but let's make the list of safe spots even bigger for those kids this year! How to participate:
  • Purchase non-food trinkets and toys (dollar store prizes, goodie bag fillers, pencils, tattoos)
  • Paint or print a Teal Pumpkin and display it by your front door.
  • Email Melissa Schabel your address to be added to a list that will be published in time for Trick-or-Treat. See Resident Directory for contact information.
